All who visit my home on a 'clean'
day ask about my old barn wood ladder photo frames. They are very
unique and we've had them for as long as my memory can reach.
I've searched for something similar from the web and beyond. Then one
day my back stretch neighbor's barn caught on fire. Our Brown County
Volunteer Fire Department did an excellent job of quick response and there
was minimal damage. Our neighbor Frank was considering repairs and
decided he needed to pull down much of the barn wood and start rebuilding
from the sturdy foundation.
No one would accuse me of being a very fast thinker. I'm slow but
reliable. I was watching the excitement and very relieved that the
fire hadn't spread to Frank's workshop. Also glad it didn't come very
much far this way.
Wow.... the reliable brain finally kicked in. I asked Frank if he
could make me a few barn wood frames from his old wood. The REST
will be HISTORY.

About Indiana
Frank.....

An engineer by trade, Frank spends his spare time in his woodshop.
In his retirement, Frank finds himself the sole custodian of his 6 year old
great granddaughter. He has been her parent since she was 2 weeks old.
She calls him "Pop" (and so do we). This would be a daunting
task for most, but Frank is doing everything possible to make sure Kiyomi
has a wonderful life. With this in mind, profits from these barn wood
frames will be deposited in Kiyomi's college fund. The frame to the left
has photos of Frank and Kiyomi, their barn and a friend.
